Happy Turkey Day!

Well, this Thanksgiving, as usual, was a busy one for the Lange family. This year was especially fun for us for 2 reasons 1) We had Alex with us (his first Thanksgiving) and 2) We only had to travel 20 minutes to get to dinner (as opposed to the 14 hours it took us before).

We started the day watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together in our new home. Alex was very enamored with the balloons that were in the parade and loved singing along with Mommy to the music. We then headed to my parents for Thanksgiving Dinner Part 1. Dinner was great...good food, family, fun... The big to do of dinner was the fact that Alexander got his first taste of turkey...pureed of course, but still turkey. He wore his turkey bib that his Nana made him and was so good at dinner. He sat in his highchair and ate cheerios and banged spoons against his chair. He was quite the hit of the party. After dinner we relaxed for a little while and then headed to Thanksgiving Dinner Part 2. Thanksgiving Dinner Part 2 was at Henry's aunts house with our cousins from NY. Again, Alex was such a good boy. He sat at the table while everyone ate, and of course, ate cheerios and banged his spoon against his highchair. At this Thanksgiving Dinner he got his first ever taste of pumpkin pie. We aren't sure if he liked it or not...jury is still out on that one....

Mommy! I want my turkey and taters and stuffing and pie!!!

So excited for his first taste of turkey. Notice the turkey on his bib? Custom made by his Nana.

Chillin after a good meal with Uncle Graigy

"Nana, what a good meal you made. The best EVER!"Onto Turkey Dinner #2....What a busy day!
"Mommy, look at my new BFF"
YUMMM....Pumpkin Pie
I love both Thanksgiving dinners equally for different reasons. My parents Thanksgiving dinner is calm and relaxng. Henry's family Thanksgiving dinner is loud and chaotic. It is like the Tale of Two Cities, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Henry and I definatley have a lot to be thankful for this year...a beautiful baby boy, two good jobs, a nice house, good family and friends.. I thank God everyday for bringing me such a beautiful baby boy.
