This is the three of us before making the ornament.....All very happy.
This is attempt #1. Please notice that instead of placing his hand NICELY into the plaster he grabbed a whole handful of the stuff. Thank goodness this stuff is non-toxic... Needless to say the handprint did not come out this time.
Please notice the handful of plaster.....and the beginnings of a VERY unhappy baby.
Attempt #2...I think he is biting Henry's wrist at this point....He was obviously done with the ornament making at this point.
In the end Mommy got the handprint ornament that she wanted. All it took was some patience, tears, and a hell of a mess to clean up, but it was worth it. Now we will have a reminder forever of how small Alex's hands were in 2008! I think I should go back and get a couple more kits...you never know how the family will grow in the future. It would be cool to have a handprint of each kid at their first Christmas...

Too funny! I went the easy way with an ink handprint at birth:)
OMG, I laughed my head off at this! When I saw the title, I was a bit jealous. I thought----Ellie would NEVER allow this to occur and she is the same age as Alex. Then, I read the story. Ha ha!!! Glad to know that 9 months old are the same everywhere! BUT, you won---you have the ornament you want. And, you have given me an idea of what I want to do with Ellie this weekend. . .(insert evil laugh)
and all this for JUST $1.99! How many kiddos you planning on adding your growing family, Brynn?! :) BTW, I love your hair!
