Unexpected Surprise!!!!

I am almost officially full term now. I will be 37 weeks pregnant on Saturday and the baby watch begins! Although, at my doctor's appointment yesterday, my doctor told me that I wasn't dialated at all and that the baby hasn't dropped, so this kid is in no hurry to get anywhere....which I have stated all along...he is his father's child and Henry is never in a hurry to get anywhere either :))))) Unlike impatient me...I don't know which is better. My doctor's appointment went well. Strong heartbeat, normal weight gain, but ironically, the doctor now says the baby is measuring big...however he did say that it may just be the way I am carrying Alex...who knows!

I did get one great surprise at the doctor's office though...we get to have another ultrasound! I am soo excited....I didn't think that I would get another one and I have been patiently (and those of you who know me, know I am not the most patient person) waiting to meet and see what my son looks like. Now, I doubt that they have the new 3D/4D technology, but I am so excited to see Alex again and make sure he is OK. The doctor said that they like to do a late 3rd trimester ultrasound to make sure that the baby is head down (he said that they want to avoid the possibility that the baby is breech during delivery and then having to perform an emergency c-section), to get a better idea of how big the baby will be and to make sure there is enough amniotic fluid around the baby. Does he think I am going to say no? As long as insurance will cover it....so tomorrow we head back to the doctor for our last ultrasound!!!!!!

Henry and I celebrated our last Valentine's Day last night as "just the two of us". He has to work tonight and we both refuse to go out on the actual day because everyone else goes out and it is too darn crowded, so we went out to dinner last night instead. It was so nice. We had a great conversation and it was nice just being the two of us. Henry got me a new watch. My older one had broken and I hadn't replaced it and wanted a new one and I got Henry an IOU for a customized replica Eagle's jersey with our last name on it. I wasn't able to order it becuase they only have two sizes available right now...small and 5XL, both of which I doubt would work for Henry....

Things are coming together for the baby. I washed all his clothes, blankets, etc this past weekend, we have attempted to install his car seat and we go to have it inspected next Tuesday. His pack n play is all set up, furniture built..now the only thing missing is the baby :))

Brynn! I think you have to take back the title of your last post! You're totally still an adorable pregnant lady! You look great. I wish I was there. I can't believe that the countdown to ALEX is on now! :) Guess I need to start planning a visit to Philly, huh?
