Insomnia

Well, it has been a little over a week since we found out about the baby and I think things are going fine.

I have been developing more symptoms as the week has gone on. My breasts are starting to get sore and I have had trouble sleeping...having to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Last night I woke up at 3:30 AM and couldn't fall back to sleep until 6AM...OY VEY! I read on the Internet that 78% of pregnant women experience some sort of insomnia during their pregnancy most occurring in either the first trimester or the third. Lucky me.

Also, yesterday and today I have been having this nervous/anxious feeling in my stomach and all over. I am trying hard not to stress about the baby as they say stress is a major cause of miscarriages and I don't feel stress about the baby..I am keeping a positive attitude and believing that everything will be OK with the baby. I don't know if this is a symptom of pregnancy of all the increase blood flow or what. We told one of our friends down here about the baby and she said that when she was pregnant with her son, that she would feel her heart race and thought it was a panic attack, but it was actually the increased blood flow because of the baby.

I was also surprised by her reaction to the baby. We went over to her house to play with her little boy and we ended up telling her about the baby. She was so EXCITED for us. She started crying and gave both Henry and I a HUGE hug saying over and over how excited she was and how she couldn't get over the fact that we were having a baby. I could hardly believe it. She actually made me cry too.... It is nice to know people are excited for you.....
