Well everyone, we have made it to 24 weeks. According to the books/Internet boards I have read, should the worst happen and I go into labor now, the odds of the baby surviving outside the womb have increased significantly. Now, I do not want our little peanut to be born yet...early March would be a good time..but it is nice to know that every week he develops a little more and is that much closer to being born a healthy bouncing baby boy!!!
I haven't updated my blog in a while, well, because nothing really exciting has been happening. There have been two cool things which I am excited about though..1) Henry felt the baby for the first time earlier this week. He was finally patient enough to actually sit still and wait for the baby to kick..and sure enough, he felt him! and 2) I think the baby has started responding to my touch! The past two nights while I have been laying in bed I have started rubbing my tummy to see if the baby would respond to my touch. Sure enough, I rubbed and BAMB the baby kicked right where I was rubbing and right after I stopped! The first time I thought it was my imagination, but the second and third times, I knew I was not imagining things! He is getting strong!!!!
I am also starting to get more random people coming up to me asking me if I am pregnant. Not sure if all of a sudden I "popped", but I was travelling for work yesterday and this morning and two people asked me (out of the blue) whether I was PG and how far along I was. I guess being 6 1/2 months pregnant, you can't hide it anymore should you want to....or I am in full waddle mode and as my friend puts it "you can't mistake the pregnancy walk".
In non baby related items, Henry and I had some good news this past week. We got an offer on our house! A bonified, real offer that we would be willing to consider. So we started the process and will hopefully close on the house on 12/12!!! Right now the buyers are in the process of doing the home inspection, appraisal, etc. Hopefully everything will go well and we will close without a problem so that come Xmas we won't be homeowners :)) Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
