As many of you know, I am a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding next week on December 8th. Let me tell you, trying to figure out how to order a dress when you think you may be pregnant, but not sure if you will be, and if you are pregnant exactly how far a long you would be, is quite a process....
Anyway, my cousin was awesome and let me order my dress later than the other BM's so I could have an extra month or so to see if I got PG. Well, as well all know, Baby Alex is now well on his way here, so I am glad Tiff was OK with me waiting.
Turns out I found out I was Preggers a few days before I ordered my dress. When I ordered my dress, I told the shop that I was about 4 weeks pregnant and had no idea how big I would actually be around the wedding. The shop was great, and gave me several options. I decided to order the dress several sizes larger than what I normally would wear and hope for the best....
Last night, Henry and I went up to the bridal shop (let me tell you it was dark and raining) to have my first fitting. First I want to say that I have the BEST HUSBAND EVER...he went with me with absolutely no complaints even though I know he would have rather been at home watching football or playing XBox. We finally got to the bridal shop and got the fitting under way. IT FITS!!! I couldn't believe it...I thought for sure we would have problems, but nope, it was even still too big on me! The top was ginormous and kept falling down (def. not well endowed in that area) and I felt like I was going to flash the entire shop. The seamstress was awesome (even though I couldn't understand half of what was coming out of her mouth as she had a very heavy Italian accent) and we totally made the dress work and in a way where I think I will be comfortable for the entire day in the dress.
I was so thrilled...Poor Henry sat there through the entire fitting laden with coats, my purse and my shoe box..I LOVE YOU HENRY! Then he got me back by saying that he will always tease Alex, our son, about being a bridesmaid....
