So Bad at Updating.....

First, let me apologize...I keep meaning to update my blog (as I have so many things to say), but there just never seems to be enough time....My days are long now and I don't usually get home from work until 6:30 or 7 PM and by that time, I am pooped and the last thing I want to do is get back on the computer and stare at a computer screen.

So anyway, the same week that we had our great baby shower/farewell party, we also found out the sex of the baby! We have another member for TEAM BLUE! It's a BOY! Henry and I are sooo excited. The ultrasound tech said that she was 99% sure that it is a boy and in one of the pictures she gave to us, she points to his little penis. I can't tell what she is pointing at, but I figure she is the one trained at this, so I will trust her! Henry and I couldn't be more excited! We can't wait to see our little boy! I had always pictured having a little girl before I got pregnant, but now knowing a boy is on his way, I wouldn't have it any other way. We now get to embark on the exciting journey of name picking, which is a lot harder than I ever thought it would be. Either I like a name and Henry doesn't or Henry likes a name and I can't stand it. Not only do we have to find a name that we BOTH like (a tall order, let me tell you), but we also have to find a name where it sounds good and the initials don't spell out anything funky...which I never thought to be an issue, but it is. So the great naming debate continues. The good part is, we still have over 20 weeks to finalize a name for baby boy lange.

In addition to finding out the sex of the baby, I have also started to feel him move!!! It is so weird and at the same time comforting. I started feeling things around week 14, but everyone said it was too early to be feeling the baby. Then I knew for sure when I was 17 weeks exactly!

Every time I have some sort of feeling in my tummy area, I wonder is it baby or is it gas???? I keep having these feelings of flutters that almost tickle and I also feel like someone is lightly poking me from the inside or I can describe it almost as if I have popcorn popping inside me (I know it sounds weird, but it somewhat does). This afternoon I felt what can only be described as a soft roll in my abdomen area....I still have a hard time decided baby? or no?? And the movement isn't very consistent yet...I will feel some things and then not feel anything for a few days. I can't wait until I feel him more and more. My one friend is almost due and she said that she can see her daughter literally move from side to side in her belly. So weird!

I am also starting to show...I have passed that stage where I think people look at me and say..is she pregnant or is she fat? In certain outfits I def. look pregnant as opposed to fat. I am going to my new OBGYN appointment tomorrow and I am terrified of getting on that scale and being weighed!!! I know weight gain is a normal part of pregnancy, but still no woman likes to see her weight increasing! I am quickly outgrowing my pre-pregnancy pants. I am pretty sure that this is the last week that I will be wearing them, as almost every paid I put on is getting really tight. My mom and I went shopping last weekend and bought some maternity pants, and they are so comfortable, I can't wait to start wearing them.

More to Come...
