Baby Fever Times Two!!!: Alexander's First Swim

This past weekend was a whirl wind of fun, family and friends! Henry and I had a blast...we had such a blast that it will take at least three posts to tell you all about our fun or this blog posting would be the longest in history! So, I guess I will start with Friday.....

On Friday our friend's from college, Dave and Jenny came up to the area to see Dave's parents and to have their little boy, Patrick, baptized in Dave's church. We weren't able to attend the actual baptism and party afterwards because we had other plans, but we arranged to see Dave and Jenny on Friday at Dave's parents house. It was the first time we also met Patrick at 5 months old and the first time in a year since they have seen Alex. I forgot how tiny they are at that age...and yet so much bigger from the time they were born. Well, Alex LOVED that baby. He was so fascinated with Patrick and kept "talking" to Patrick and trying to play with Patrick and at one point even gave Patrick a kiss. It was adorable. Stella, Dave and Jenny's dog, LOVED Alex and was constantly trying to give Alex "kisses" too. As soon as we walked in the door Stella planted one right on Alex's face. I wish I had a video of Alex's reaction because it was priceless!

We had a great time visiting with Dave and Jenny and all of their family. It turned out to be a real family affair as Dave's grandparents were there as well as Jenny's father and Dave's brother and his wife. Dave's parents are so nice and really opened their house to us and made us feel really at home and ordered pizza for everyone (they really speak my language). Dave's parents also have a pool! So we got to take Alex swimming for the very first time! We came prepared with a new swimsuit for both Alex and myself and a baby intertube thingy so Alex would float :) Here are some pictures from Friday and the pool!
