Can you believe that my baby is now 15 months old????? I can't. Let's see...so many things have happened this past month. Alex said his first few words...he said "no" (typical boy), "kitty", "doggie", and his new most favorite word is "diaper". Don't ask me why, but he goes around yelling "diaper! diaper!" I swear he said "baby" the other day too.
Alex is so curious about the world around him...he points to everything and wants to know what it is and he is constantly underfoot wanting to be part of whatever I am doing. He loves to help me around the house. If I am folding laundry he loves to hand me clothes to fold (then he promptly unfolds whatever I folded), he loves to help Mommy close the refridgerator doors (why I don't know) and he loves to imitate me if I am dusting or throwing something away. It is VERY funny. He imitates others sounds and motions that we do too. If we cough, Alex will cough...if we laugh, Alex will laugh. The other day I brushed crumbs off a chair and Alex came up behind me and stood up on the chair and brushed the crumbs away too!
Alex now knows where his feet and his hair is. If we ask him to point to his hair or his foot he does so right away! We are working on nose right now...he is getting it, but mostly points to his hair first :) He also can point to both Dada and Mama when we ask him "where is Dada?" or "where is mama?".
I guess the other BIG news is that Alex is officially walking on his own now! He took his first steps all by himself a day or two after he turned 15 months, but I couldn't wait until next month to tell y'all about it. He is still crawling mainly, but he is getting more sure of himself walking by himself. He can take off from furniture now and is just so proud of himself!
We went to the doctor for his 15 month well visit last week and his current stats are as follows: Weight 22 lbs 4 oz (yay!) Length: 30 inches. The doctor said he hadn't grown at all since his 12 month appointment, but I think they measured wrong. I know he has grown bc his shoes and clothes are fitting so differently now than they did at 12 months.
In other Brynn and Henry news...we are slowly working on making our yard look good again. We spent all last weekend in the yard planting pretty flowers and creating a flower bed where the plumbers dug up our front yard. I am very pleased with the way our yard is turning out and we have received many compliments from neighbors on how much better our yard looks because of our efforts. We still have a ways to go, but it is 100% better than where it was even a month ago!
I have several pictures and videos that I want to post (but have somehow not managed to find the time). But in the meantime here are a few pictures of Alex from the past month! Enjoy!
