"Mommy, why are there all these girls around me??"
We have also entered into Alex's 7 month. Alex is sitting up very well on his own now and is learning new tricks...he has figured out how to "lean" over and grab toys and push himself upright again. He has also figured out how to "rotate" around in a circle on his stomach. He still hasn't figured out how to roll over from his stomach to his back as a way to get off his stomach..but I suppose that will come with time. We have also started having Alex sit upright when we give him a bath. No more infant recline seat...which is both good and bad.
He also said his first word: Mama. OK, I know realistically that he doesn't understand what he is saying and doesn't connect that this babbling is actually a word, but there is some small amount of satisfaction knowing that he said Mama before Dada. He sits around the house now and goes "mamamamamamamamamamama"
No teeth yet...7 months and no teeth. I am not that worried as my family has always been "late bloomers" in the teeth department. I don't think my brother and I got our first tooth until around this time or even later. To be honest, I am not that anxious to have him get his teeth...I think he is going to be a biter and I am still nursing..I really don't want him to chomp on my nipple....
We had another first in the Lange household: the first baby germs spread to mommy. Alex had a cold a few weeks ago...he was fine..stuffy, coughing but no fever. Well those baby germs attacked mommy and mommy got sick the week later. I am still a little stuffy, but feel MUCH better than I did last week :) Hopefully this will not become a trend...
On Henry and Brynn news: There really isn't much of an update...we are loving our new home and are still settling into it. It is coming together slowly but surely and we are looking forward to doing more things in the house in the future. We are so excited to be in our new home for the upcoming holidays. We bought Alex's Halloween costume and have decorated for the fall. We also have plans to host our first Christmas dinner.... The only bad thing that is happening is that our sewer pipe needs to be replaced. We had the plumbers out here last week to fix it, except that they couldn't find it...They figured this out AFTER they tore up our entire front yard. They are coming back next week to dig up our back yard, because they state that it is coming out the back of the house now...joy joy.

Have no fear on the teeth... Evan is almost 10 months old, and he didn't get any teeth until 9 months and then all of a sudden, he had 3. The 4th is just about ready to break through. I'm still nursing, too, and he really hasn't bitten me too bad. He actually did it more BEFORE the teeth. Thank goodness. :)
