OK, get your minds out of the gutter people...seriously :))
LOL, OK, I must admit I was wrong about something: A big screen TV is REALLY cool.
So Henry and I have been having this debate (since, oh lord, before we got married??) about whether it was practical to get a big screen TV. I was always, on the "No" side saying that we couldn't afford a luxury like that and why buy ANOTHER TV when we always had two or three that worked just fine. Henry, of course, was always on the other side..ogling the big screens whenever we would go into Best Buy or any other electronic store.
So anyway, Henry got a seasonal/temporary job at Best Buy while he is interviewing and looking for a full time job. I thought this was a good idea as it would get him out of the house, and bring in some money at the same time...probably not my brightest thought as he came home after his first day with 20 pages full of information regarding big screen TV's and his discount on them. To make a long story short, he eventually came home and told me about this great promotion that SHARP was having for the employees and he could get this AWESOME (his words) TV for a really great price.
Well, I just didn't have the heart to fight it any longer and I gave in. I figured that with the baby coming we would no longer be making big purchases for ourselves anymore, so why not? It was a great price and we probably wouldn't find another deal like this EVER. Not to mention, I knew Henry would really appreciate it. The day I gave the OK, he came home that night and said that he ordered the TV. He obviously thought I would change my mind so he decided to strike while the iron was hot...
Well, the TV arrived on Friday and I have to admit, it is really nice. Henry and Graig hooked it up today and of course they spent an hour playing around with the TV and playing xBox games on it. We are now the proud owners of a 46 inch LCD TV. Henry is accepting congratulations on his new addition to the family :)))
