Alex continues to bring Henry and I so much joy, love, and laughter. It seems like he is always doing new things. This month he learned to climb the steps (and now he can't get enough), he learned to drink out of a straw and he can use a fork and a spoon very well. He doesn't prefer to use the fork and the spoon, but he knows how to use them. He understands us when we say something to him. For example he knows how to sit when we ask him to sit down (I know every time I say it it makes me feel like I am training a dog) or he gives us kisses when we ask or he brings us his shoes when we are going bye bye's. He tells us when he is tired by signing milk and saying "up, up, up". Alex loves to scribble and draw with crayons. In fact he produced one of his very first pieces of artwork for his Grammy for her birthday this month. He is also starting to say more and more words. He can now say "bubble", "water", "thank you", "diaper", "cheese", "all gone", "book" and a few others as well. He loves to "read" and absolutley adores being read to. Nana had to go out and buy Mr. Alex some new books because we are tired of reading the same ones over and over and over again.
Henry and I continue to be the same. We are hoping August turns into a good month for us. It has already brought us some new job opportunities (keep fingers crossed) and we are celebrating 5 years of marriage on the 21st. We continue to do things in the house. We recently repainted and did some minor renovations on two of our three bathrooms and our third is not far behind. We are trying to get as much done before I return to work as possible because I know we won't have time once I do return to work.
Here are some pictures of our little man from the past month...we hope you enjoy.
