25 Random Things About Alex

First, I have to give credit where credit is due, and I did not come up with this idea on my own. I am actually shamelessly stealing this idea from one of my friend's blogs as she came up with the idea herself. I liked it so much I want to do it for Alex. I hope you don't mind Tricia (if you are reading this).

As many of you know, there is a fad going around facebook where you state 25 random things about yourself. Well, I thought I would do this as if Alex was writing 25 random things about himself... Now he isn't even a year yet, so let's see what we can come up with...

1. My Chinese horoscope animal is the Rat. Now usually Rats are vermin and you try to kill them, but the Chinese supposedly say being a Rat is a good thing. I sure hope so. Mommy is a monkey which is cool because Daddy loves monkey's so that means Daddy has to love Mommy forever.

2. I am just beginning to crawl. I am like my Daddy and am content to play with the toys I have, so in order to entice me to crawl, Mommy is bribing me with the TV remote. I LOVE the TV remote. I especially love to chew on it with my one tooth.

3. I LOVE Cheerios. Mommy tells me everyday that one day I am going to turn into one big Cheerio. If I don't get my Cheerios fast enough I start to cry and bang on my highchair tray until Mommy and Daddy give in and give me more Cheerios. I am secretly stashing Cheerios under my highchair pad in case Mommy and Daddy decide not to give me anymore.

4. I already love to be read to and to turn the pages of books. I can sit content for a long time just turning the pages of said books. I get mad when those books are taken away from me.

5. I love performing for my audience. Mainly Mommy as she is home with me the most. Sometimes I just bust out the tricks and watch her reactions. I especially like to do "So Big" randomly and watch Mommy get excited.

6. I am a hard core thumb sucker. Mommy says I was pre-destined to suck my thumb because both Mommy and Daddy did as baby's. I suck so hard sometimes my thumb gets all red.

7. I pick up a lot of people where ever I go. Today at the grocery store I picked up the Starbucks man, lunch meat lady, a grandmom, another mom, and a man who asked Mommy what aisle she picked me up in. Mommy said I was priceless.

8. I love to ride in the car and look out the window. Except at night. Then I don't like the car and I cry and cry and cry until we get home.

9. I like to sleep on my side and on my belly. One day Mommy found me sleeping face down in the mattress and was scared. So she turned me over and woke me up. Then I refused to go back to sleep just because.

10. My favorite TV show is Wheel of Fortune. I know I am not supposed to watch TV, but I like the colored wheel and the flashing letters. I also like hearing Mommy and Daddy guessing that answers to the puzzles. Daddy usually guesses them first, which annoys Mommy.

11. I love being outside. This hasn't happened too much recently because Mommy says it is too cold out and she isn't going out there, so I'm not going out there either. However, there was one day that was a balmy 45 degrees out so we went for a nice walk. I had a great time!

12. I have a dog named Kodi. I love to roll (now crawl) over to Kodi and try to pet him. Kodi is a good sport and usually just moves away from me or just sits there. He doesn't realize that pretty soon I will be able to move with him.

13. I move my hands like I am riding a motorcycle when I am super excited. My family gets a kick out of this.

14. Everyone says I look like my Daddy. I like looking like my Daddy. Although, a few people have said I look like my Uncle Graig too.

15. I have recently learned how to give kisses. Today when Mommy was reading to me I gave a kiss to Clifford the Red Dog. I also know that when I lean over in my highchair that Mommy kisses me, so I do that a lot now.

16. I have a temper like Mommy. When something doesn't go my way or when I can't get to something fast enough I get mad. I flail my legs and cry and cry.

17. In my short life I have ever only been to two states and I have lived in both of them. Pennsylvania and Delaware.

18. I hate hats. I won't keep them on my head and I take them off as soon as Mommy puts them on. Mommy says it is futile to try and keep me warm with a hat. I don't know what "futile" means...

19. When I was born I had dark blue eyes. Now they have changed to all brown just like Mommy and Daddy's eyes.

20. I don't like loud noises. When Mommy or Daddy use the blender or the power drill and I am near I start to cry and get very upset.

21. I love to jump. I love to play in my jumperoo and bounce, bounce, bounce. This tires me out and then I take a long nice nap which Mommy enjoys.

22. My favorite foods are yogurt, cheese, and cheerios. I will pretty much eat anything (not apricots or avocado however). But I am partial to cheese, yogurt and cheerios.

23. I am named after my Great-Grandy Phillips. Mommy and Daddy named me Alexander Phillip. They said they liked what Alexander meant as a name and Phillip was my Great-Grandy's last name, without the "s"

24. I have one tooth. Just one. A lot of my friends have a lot more teeth than I do, but that is OK.

25. I have a Mommy and Daddy that love me VERY much. I am one lucky boy!
