Henry's 30th Birthday

This past weekend was a busy one for us. Not only was it Alex's first Halloween on Friday, but Henry turned the BIG 30 on Sunday so the weekend was filled with birthday fesitivities.

On Saturday, we had both sets of parents and my grandfather over for a quiet family dinner. Alex dressed up in his pirate costume for his grandparents and put on a good show. We had good food, good company and Henry got good presents :)) He finally got (from me) his customized Eagles jersey with our last name on the back and a Phillies championship t-shirt from Alex.

On Sunday we spent a quiet day at the house as a family. In the evening, Henry and I went out on a date...we went shopping (everything we got was for Alex, so he wasn't far from our minds) and we went to a nice sushi dinner at a restaurant that we have been wanting to try. It was great to get out with Henry alone and reconnect together as a couple. Thanks to Henry's parents we were able to do so. Unfortunatley, for a variety of reasons (time change, short naps, busy weekend) Alex was a pistol for his grandparents, but hey....what can you do???

Here are some pictures from both Saturday and Sunday!
