WOW...What a Week!!!

Well, so far it is only Wednesday afternoon and already it has been a good week. Yesterday, was Henry and my 3 year wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that we have been married for three years now! He was so sweet and spoiled me so badly...he bought me a puff chair (the most comfortable chair ever) and a water bottle that I have been wanting. When you are PG you have to drink a TON of water, so a good water bottle is a MUST. We went to dinner at a restaurant that we have never been to before and had good food and good conversation. It was a great night.

Then today we had our ultrasound which tested the fluid in the back of the baby's neck for down syndrome. WHAT A DIFFERENCE from early July. The baby actually looks like a baby now...not just a blob like it did last time! We saw its head and nose and mouth. We have two arms and two legs. One of the coolest things was actually seeing the baby's hand with the fingers!!! They were so tiny and so cute! The baby was jumping all around and doing all sorts of flips and stuff...I can't feel them yet, but he/she is certainly being very active in there! The doctor says that everything looks good and that they don't believe the baby has down syndrome because he/she has a nose bone and not a lot of fluid at the back of its neck, which is good. We also saw the umbilical cord and the placenta. The heart beat measured in at 175 bpm, which the ultrasound technician said was very strong. Right now the baby is almost an inch in length.

It was a great morning! I can't stop looking at the ultrasound pictures that they let us leave with. I can't wait to see the baby again when we find out the sex to see how much bigger he/she has gotten.
