On Saturday we worked on our dining room. We are in the process of painting the dining room and doing some other minor renovations to the room and we are trying to finish them up so we can have our dining room back! I will post pics soon! It was a miserable day outside..raining and cold. However, on Saturday afternoon my friend Carolyn invited Alex and I to attend her church's Annual Easter Egg hunt in one of the local parks. So Alex and I drove down to West Chester and participated. There were 7200 eggs for the kids to find and it was mass chaos but loved by all. I don't have any pictures because I was carrying Alex with one arm and gathering Easter eggs with another, so that didn't leave any left over to take pictures :( I really wanted Alex to get down on the ground and gather eggs himself, but the ground was really wet and muddy and since he isn't walking yet, I didn't want to deal with the resulting mess! It was fun! I picked a few eggs for Alex (Mommy and Daddy got the candy inside) and Alex got is first taste of a soft pretzel!
On Sunday we spent a lazy morning at home as a family. I did a small Easter egg hunt for Alex in our kitchen, but that was about it (he doesn't really get the whole Easter egg/Bunny thing yet). In the afternoon we went to my parents house to stop in and say hello on the way to Henry's parents for Easter Dinner. Alex got an Easter bucket with candy, a personalized named water bottle and a savings bond! Alex was more interested in the Easter grass than any of the other goodies he received.
Mmmmmmm....chocolate and peeps!
Why buy toys when Easter grass is so much more amusing?
Uh oh....I dropped my jelly beans....
Look at me! I am tooo cute!
"Mommy, I really really want this coconut creme egg..."

After a nice visit with my family, we proceeded to Henry's parents for an amazing Easter feast! Alex received another Easter basket again with candy, peeps and some of his Daddy's old Easter toys. Mommy thought that was really cool and sentimental. Alex was a great boy at his grandparents and was walking (with assistance) and crawling everywhere and very animated. His favorite activity was crawling under the dining room table and back out. We caved and gave Alex his first ever Easter peep..which he LOVED.... Henry, you still owe me a million dollars...cash, lump sum please....(Henry bet me a million dollars that Alex wouldn't like the peep. He was wrong, I was right). Dinner was DELICIOUS and we have the leftovers in the fridge to prove it. We were exhausted by the time we got home, but it was well worth it. Here are some pictures from Easter with the Lange's!
