Anyway, I digress. This weekend we celebrated Valentine's Day together as a family. We didn't go anywhere or do much (it is hard to go places when you don't have a lot of money to spend...why be tempted?) so we spent the day around the house baby proofing, doing stuff around the house, etc. As, my Valentine's present to me, Henry installed cable in our bedroom. While our house is updated in many ways, we still need to put some "sweat equity" into the house to sort of bring it up to modern day standards. Such as, install three pronged outlets, install wall mounted cable in the rooms, etc. So Henry spent the day finishing and repairing the walls for the cable. We now have TV in our room, which is something that we have dearly missed. He also went traditional and gave me a bouquet of flowers and chocolate.
As our present to Daddy, Alex and I went shopping together and bought all the ingredients to make him Valentine's Day cupcakes. We bought cupcake mix, Alex picked out the icing and the decorations and then we came home and baked them together. We then made Henry a good home cooked meal of Crock pot PotRoast and Veggies and surprised him with this on Friday night! Below is the end result (I am rather proud of myself to be honest):
Happy Valentine's Day Daddy!Saturday night, Henry and I stayed in and ordered food from a nearby restaurant that we have wanted to try and opened a bottle of wine and watched a movie together by candlelight. It was very nice and comfy as we didn't have to get dressed up or battle crowds!
Here are some other pictures I took of Alex on Saturday. He is getting so big and is just developing such a personality now!
